Daily Duties at Ge Security/Spx Corporation Edwards Signaling Division:

•Responsible for managing all mechanical design of Evacuation and Fire alarm equipment including audible and visual signaling devices serving commercial and industrial automation marketplace. •Introduced to market our companies 1st Evacuation panel with responsibility for all mechanical development including enclosure components to house circuit boards, power supply, membrane switch keypads, and speaker and microphone components. •Delivered to market and lead mechanical design engineering for new outdoor speaker/amplifier unit used in conjunction with evacuation panel from customer requirements, marketing input, financial justification and design/DFM specifications. These include: oConcept drawings oMarketplace agency approval requirements oDesign of plastic housing and tooling oDesign of hazardous location devices including class I, Div. I •Supervised Agency Liaison Engineer responsible for product agency approvals. •Responsible for all new product development drawings and ISO documentation. •Directed Mechanical Engineers to achieve project requirements of design, cost and time targets.
