Daily Duties at Spx Corporation Oz Gedney Division:
•Designed and Developed Electrical Construction fittings made from: Cast Grey Iron, Malleable Iron, and Aluminum, Zinc Die-cast, Steel formed and machined Aluminum /Steel. •The fittings and enclosures are designed for the Commercial, Industrial, and Hazardous location environments requiring the highest level of standards. •Knowledge and understanding of hazardous location classifications and third party standards organizations including; Universal Underwriters Laboratories, National Electrical Code, Canadian Standards Association. •Designed Product on Pro-Engineer Solid Modeling software obtaining feature analysis of mass and areas. •Supported MFG with solutions to casting problems on new developmental products. •Supplied technical product and application support to direct customers, sales representatives, electrical suppliers, and engineering specification firms. •Assisted in product testing such as: Hydro, pressure, and electrical ground fault testing.
