Daily Duties at Cumberland Internal Medicine:
Responsibilities include performing a comprehensive history, physical exam, assessment, plan, order and review labs and studies, prescribe medications including narcotics and patient follow up for the following types of visits in the Adult and Geriatric population: Acute, Chronic Care, Emergencies, Infectious disease, Mental Health, Complete Physical exams and Medical clearances. Other responsibilities include: Dermatological Surgical Procedures, Pap smear, Ear flush, Staple & suture removal, Incision & Drainage, Aspirations, EKG interpretations, Coumadin Adjustments and MMSE. Preventive care Counseling includes Obesity/Weight management, Smoking Cessation, IFG/ Diabetes and Diabetic diet, Alzheimer’s, Mental Health, Pain Management with Narcotic counseling, STDs and Medicare Part B Annual Wellness visit and Initial Preventive Physical Examinations. Preceptor for Physician Assistant students. Electronic Charting. Certified Medical Examiner for Commercial drivers: Provide CDL Exams for Commercial Drivers
