Daily Duties at Target Corporation:
Achievements included managing a Multi-Million/Yr. business unit, building a team of eight direct reports in a competitive retail environment in a store ranging from 200+ employees. I was responsible for cutting production cost and implementing new cost effective procedures in Target’s food business venture in their transition into the perishable food market. Accompanying responsibilities included payroll, employee performance management, along with projects demanding leadership across the district. • Responsible for leading a team of vendors and building relationships, ensuring proper ordering and in-stocks for store operations. • Served as key leadership in lowering production cost by leading best practices in the perishable inventory. • Provided strategic reporting to senior executives on weekly conference calls detailing opportunities in sales, margin, customer service and payroll. • Conducted and completed direct report reviews; dealing with personnel matters related to recruiting, counseling and discipline.
