Daily Duties at Exelon Corporation:
Worked in the Controller's Group of PECO Energy, an energy delivery subsidiary of Exelon Corporation. PECO Energy is Pennsylvania’s largest utility serving approximately 1.6 million electric customers and 485,000 natural gas customers in southeastern Pennsylvania. Employed in the Controller’s Group performing the following functions: • Interact with various departments on accounting issues including Environmental, Operations, Energy Acquisition, Legal, Claims, and Gas • Perform management reporting of environmental liabilities and associated remediation costs. • Supervise accounting staff • Ensure external filings to the Securities & Exchange Commission, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission are performed accurately and timely • Perform accounting research and implement accounting policy • Review contracts and rate-making strategies for accounting implications • Evaluate 3rd party credit exposure • Review mark-to-market calculations • Assist in the design and implementation of controls • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis
