Daily Duties at Egs/Optum Rx:
• Accurately processed high volume of patient prescriptions, approximately 400+ per day. • Inspected, interpreted, and revised prescription information as appropriate to minimize errors prior to final processing of mail order prescriptions. • Thoroughly reviewed prescription requests to ensure state regulation, accurate insurance coverage/information, and delivery times would be met. • Effectively prioritized workload to reach processing goal count with a scarcity of errors. • Prepared prescriptions for patients offering suggestions on therapeutic therapies, including oncology, intravenous nutrition, and psychiatric pharmacy. • Conducted various research to maintain current with changes in products and regulations. • Recorded patients’ drug therapies in database and confirmed information on drug interactions, if necessary.
