Daily Duties at Federal Railroad Administration:

Direct an award-winning agile web and IT development team of 9 members in a fast-paced federal environment. Oversee full development life-cycle of creative Internet, intranet, SharePoint, and business intelligence solutions. Designed web products with HTML5, CS53, XML, JavaScript, AJAX, ActionScript, and Adobe CC. Effectively represent the FRA to the Department of Transportation as Accessibility/ADA (Section 508 and WCAG 2.0) Coordinator. Improved FRA image through launch of new public website in conjunction with the Foresee site analytics team that significantly elevated user experience scores . Achieved agency highest level of compliance with Accessibility regulations and guidelines Sparked innovation by establishment of custom in-house .NET CMS. Enhanced intranet by implementing a portal dashboard to serve as a user-configurable resource page. Transitioned to Agile environment for streamlined design and improved stakeholder interaction. Applied Scrum & Kanban processes to the project development cycles. Led FRA Web/IT development team through design and launch of business intelligence tools that cut costs and inspired policy changes. Received team recognition with Department of Transportation Secretary’s Award for Excellence. Regularly meet with stakeholders and content owners to ensure project requirements are accurately captured and documented. Conduct briefings, training sessions, meetings, and product demonstrations with users and stakeholders throughout the agency, in person, or remotely via Skype for business.. Write policy and governance guidance documentation, and standard operating procedures. Write statements of work and requests for proposals for new and existing contracts. Participate as core member of proposal analysis and contractor selection team. Participate in the change control process, both in the agency, and at the department level. Assist stakeholders with process improvement. Ensure that all public and internal websites are compliant with Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 guidelines. Participate in Department accessibility initiatives and governance documentation.
