Daily Duties at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.:
Maintained all assets within the Data Center to ensure all SLAs were up to date. Charged with training and mentoring novice start on operations staff of all software systems. Responsibilities included development of test plans and QA support of critical projects, mainframe and distributed batch schedules and automation of UNIX, Sun and Windows servers, system controls and problem identification and remediation. Ensured that all application data was maintained with timely backups and disaster recovery requirements were in place. Managed tape libraries, all printing systems, vendor interactions, problem determination and environmental issues within the data center. Also managed overall Storage for all systems either on Mainframe or via SAN storage. Perform staff reviews annually and assisted in budgetary concerns with senior management. Projects included: Mainframe Software upgrades, Training and best practices, OLTP (online transaction), audit requirements, Consolidation of two data centers, NY Data Center relocation, yearly Disaster Recovery & business continuity, output reduction, Microfiche conversion, Euro Dollar conversion, Y2K, Printing System Conversion, Mail Machine upgrade, Designed Client Statements, Holiday coordination projects, implemented Mobius “DoumentDirect” software to manage Document Management and Image Viewing (including Microfiche and client statements and daily documents for online viewing), Multiple Vendor Software/Hardware implementation and upgrade.
