• Review and close alerts (exception reports) created by various surveillance models, including but not limited to: Insider Trading, Wash Sales, and Marking the Close. • Maintained and delivered daily. weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual metrics related to the tracking of surveillance alerts at a branch, regional and national level to senior management. • Reviewed e-mail and instant messages alerts for suspicious activities. • Tested and suggested modifications to existing e-comm surveillance models in order to eliminate false positives and produce better alerts. • Reviewed employee trading using SMARTS Broker software. • Develop surveillance models in a UAT environment using Protegent software. • Investigate suspicious activity detected by alerts; escalate suspicious activity to senior personnel. • Prepared investigatory file for regulatory escalation when necessary (documents that would become the pre-cursor to a possible SAR filing). • Draft/Update Policies and Procedures and Manuals.
