Daily Duties at Microsoft:

• Lead Testing in Lab environment for specific carriers in accordance to the requirements and Validating and certifying the device for TA. • Flashing Builds on Windows devices and testing for OS/Modem defects. • Test execution for device compliance to test plans like VZW TECC/ ATT 10776/PTCRB- GCF. • Working on Multiple platforms of carrier validated simulators like Spirent 8100, R&S CMW 500, Anritsu RTD/PCT, Anite SAS. • Performing VoLTE, IMS, SIP, IR92/IR94, RCS, SRVCC, DAM, IRAT, LBS, SUPL, USIM/USAT, CSIM/CCAT ,ISIM CMAS, Audio, Cell Reselection & Handover, E911, IMS Registration and retry, LTE SMS over IMS, AT commands, LTE Multimode messaging, LTE/3G Data Throughput, CSFB etc test suites. • Logging defects, collecting and analyzing QXDM/Network/ETW/Field medic/Wireshark or feature specific logs. • Raising bugs in VSO and Nzilla with first level triaging for tracking • Attending meetings with R&D team and developers to explain issues from protocol and spec aspect. • Bug Triaging, TC Prioritization for different Carriers and addressing Infrastructure issues • Generating and updating daily / weekly team reports to MSFT. • Maintaining databases in excel sheets, estimating execution times, prioritizing test passes across multiple teams, communicating with customer for bug updates and latest fixes and retesting. • Bug Reviewing and tracking on a daily basis. • Train the team with latest network findings and help them in debugging of critical issues to enhance the quality of testing. • Support Offshore testing teams for lab dependent issues from Onsite. • Work closely with the development team to make them understand the issues for faster and better resolution. • Received multiple appreciation mails from clients for good work and better understanding of OS/Protocol issues.
