Daily Duties at Lockheed Martin:
Gonceptualized, defined, and developed complex data architecture solutions for large programs. This involved gathering requirements, integration, and implementation, testing and putting into production Signature Government Solutions 10/2006-06/2007 Systems Database Engineer Worked as a subcontractor for CACI Enterprise Systems on a National Archive and Records Administration contract. Designed, developed, implemented and maintained an Oracle 9i and 10g database. The development was done using SQL and PL/SQL. This involved maintaining four instances; a classified production, standby, test, and unclassified database. Provided consultation and technical expertise regarding database management systems (DBMS), database management tools, access methods, and vendor-provided database management software. Developed physical database designs, performed database options analysis and made recommendations, and conducted database design reviews. Installed configured, tested, and maintained application databases products and tools. This included Oracle Client, Enterprise Manager, and DBCA. Managed database security, including integrity, backup, recovery, access, and changes. Monitored use and optimized database performance. Interfaced with data analysts and modelers, data administrators, application developers, delivery systems administrators, technical support organizations, computing architects, procurement and supplier management, and product vendors. Served as contact for questions regarding specific databases and applications. Developed physical data models and consults in development of conceptual data models. Designed, developed, implemented, modified, and maintained physical databases. Investigated and resolved operational problems. Recommended delivery platforms; participated in database product and tool evaluations, procurement, and testing; and developed tools and processed to support the database administration function. Lockheed Martin Corporation (Integrated Systems and Solutions) 04/2000-05/2006 Database Engineer Staff On the GeoScout program Infrastructure data architect team, conceptualized, defined, and developed complex data architecture solutions for large programs. This involved gathering requirements, integration, and implementation, testing and putting into production. Demonstrated experience by developing data design and structuring logical data design, integration strategies, application to database integration, enterprise level data standardization distributed database methods and techniques. Used COTS to support data marts and tera-byte data storage design and implementation. Analyzed relational database design and engineering including traditional Entity-Relationship Modeling. Developed data models and architecture design using ERWIN and Oracle tools. SQL programming and procedural extensions to the SQL standard (e.g. PL/SQL, stored procedures) was used to analyze database design including data layout and performance tuning. Worked with the Desktop Support team to troubleshoot customers’ and users’ issues which the helpdesk was unable to resolve. Duties included anything from hardware configuration to the installation of Oracle applications on workstations. In addition assisted the team lead in comparing files residing on databases, servers, labs and other facilities within the organization. Also utilized leadership skills and worked as a Team Lead .t. Lockheed Martin (Information Technology) Database Reporting Engineer Supported engineering and analytical activities that required accessing, querying, modifying, testing, and converting law enforcement sensitive data for multiple Oracle databases resident on stand alone workstations and database servers.
