Tested the PDF-to-PostScript conversion component of Postscript core and Acrobat through full range of QA activities including manual inspection, performance measurement, usability testing, test planning, and creating baseline for automated print quality comparison. Created automation harness for testing PDF-to-PostScript conversion, implemented in Perl on Windows, Linux, Solaris, and Mac platforms, saving QA team thousands of pages of manual review. Improved efficiency of several testing projects by adapting and adding requested features to automation harness. Contributed to the development of Adobe PressReady, a color proofing application, leading a quality control committee for assessing color profiles for inkjet printers. Created Visual Test-based test harness for automating the printing process, saving many hours of manual print test generation. Set high standard of quality and performance for Adobe PrintGear laser printing system, from prototype to OEM partner development with Minolta, NEC, and IBM, establishing rigorous quality and performance testing standards, and executing full range of test cases. Created automation framework for testing driver software and printer firmware.
