Daily Duties at Resort Casino:

• Maintains a working knowledge of all Promotions and Special Events in order to effectively explain to guests and coordinate needs with all departments • Coordinate the ordering of prizes, supplies, collateral materials and décor; maintains an inventory of promotional items • Implement Casino Special Events and Promotions by staffing events, preparing and distributing employee communications, identifying and contacting suitable vendors, placing and tracking equipment and supply purchases, submitting requests for promotional materials and overseeing placement of signage • Prepare Gaming Commission Submissions for each Special Event and Promotion • Create pro-formas for Special Events and Promotions and work within the allocated budget; continually evaluate player events and promotions to ensure guest satisfaction, profitability and increased revenue • Develops promotional themes, write copy, edit/proof promotional collateral and prepares correspondence and reports using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook • Works closely and develops positive working relationships with all casino and marketing departments to include Player’s Club, Bus Operations and Player Development as well as internal and external vendors and partnerships • Assists in determining the staffing needs and ensures proper work schedules necessary to implement department objectives are met to include the hiring, motivation, training and supervising of support staff; recommends and identifies changes in the department • Recommends changes and/or new programs that will stimulate business by keeping abreast of competitive casino marketing events and promotions • Prepares budgets and operating forecasts and updates on a regular basis; prepares and submits reports and maintains necessary records and files; maintains ongoing schedule of promotions
