Daily Duties at Sbc:

• Trained techniques for placing & terminating 4-25 pair on 66 and 110 blocks, assembling backboard, testing and labeling. o SPOC, given prototype testing equipment for field testing, including the newest (Sidekick™) meters. o Streamlined employee training to those weakest in their understanding. • Built complex electronic mock-ups which emulated transmission and faults over copper, both audible and measured. o Technique of trouble shooting copper spans; High Resistant and Solid Shorts, Grounds, Balance and unbalance pairs. o Approximate conductor distance (for unterminated copper) based upon capacitive discharge through a specific meter. o Placement and termination of horizontal wiring (cat5, cat3-25 pair). o Understand and memorize the color code. o ISP/OSP and how the distribution is engineered. o GO95 and GO128.
