Daily Duties at Southern Company:
As a Environmental Projects Construction Coordinator at a 770 MW supercritical coal-fired electric generating facility, I directed craft labor (laborers, carpenters, insulators, sheetmetal workers, boilermakers, pipefitters, operators, etc.) on a daily basis. I prepared packages for pre-fabrication of SCR piping and supports, developed work plans for repair of equipment, coordinated demolition of precipitator internals and the boiler economizer, as well as replacement of each. I coordinated equipment/piping installation and flushing of lube oil system for 2-speed ID fans and damper hydraulics. I was the primary interface for mechanical Lock-Out/Tag-Out activities with Owner's Operations department.I was an active participant in the behavioral observation safety program, which collected data to identify leading indicators for the project to focus on to prevent injuries in the workplace.
