Daily Duties at The Alderwood Group, Inc.:

As a US tax accountant in The Alderwood Group, Inc., I assisted tax system conversion and prepared foreign tax reporting, different states' corporation tax return, personal property tax return and federal income tax return. I prepared analysis property tax actual-to-budget variances and reported these variances to senior tax manager on a timely basis. I assisted the senior tax manager to prepare tax department's annual budget. I also monitored and tracked property tax variances to budget, identified and analysed those differences for management, responded to corporate development and Head office requests, responded to tax assessors and tax collectors/treasurers requests from various states in US and different provinces in Canada. Ensured all property tax payments were made accurately and timely and matched with the budget. Reported to Senior Tax Manager.
