Daily Duties at Herndon Capital Management:

• Facilitated the implementation of procedures and controls to maintain the highest quality and efficiency, and was instrumental in developing operational procedures for new staff and trainees. Provided problem resolutions to ensure operational controls are maintained. Evaluated operational issues and developed appropriate solutions and recommendations. • Reviewed all month end reports and more than 150 month and quarter end reconciliations. • Managed trading, portfolio management, client reporting team focused on trade settlement, account set–up, closing and transition accounts, custodial changes, account reconciliation and client reporting and assisted with the workflow of the department creating a more efficient process. • Conducted performance evaluations for two operations analysts: Assessed their progress and needs for improvements. Resolved all personnel issues in accordance with company policy. • Provided technical and training support to analyst and. Escalation contact for day to day operational resolutions. • Worked closely with other departments to assure cohesiveness and timely completion of monthly/quarterly and annual client reporting deliverables. • Processed Corporate Actions (spin- offs, tender offers, splits etc.) and directed custodian banks on corporate actions regarding tender offers and dividend options. • Assisted Director of Operations with team management and adhoc requests. • Provided monthly performance reports to portfolio managers, client service and consultants. • Primary member of the composite committee responsible for performance measurement ensuring company compliance with GIPS standards.
