Associate Director for language access services (translation and interpretation) at CLAS, Center for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services. Responsible for: quality assessment of language services for LEP (Limited English Proficiency) patients (translation, over-the-phone interpretation, proximal/onsite interpretation, sign language proximal and video remote interpretation) management of document translation (patient education materials, healthcare campaigns, patient portal localization) oversight and counseling of Language Access Coordinators (12) located at local New York City hospitals (Bellevue, Harlem, Metropolitan, etc) contract and budget management for all language access contracts management of vendor relations bids and RFPs for new language services (bid preparation, process, supervision of review committee, vendor contract negotiations)
