Daily Duties at Tech Products Of Puerto Rico:
As a Purchasing Manager: Implemented Purchasing Department SOP's and computerized purchasing system improving process efficiency, also aiding the Accounting Division. Implemented an aggressive cost savings and payment incentive program with vendors. Developed product information, charts, diagrams and formats for the first detailed product catalog, including printing instructions and supervision. As a Purchasing Agent: Responsible for the Distribution Division inventory level control (for an approximately 2,500 SKU’s) combined with monthly and annual physical counts. Provide complete support to Accounts Payable Department procedures. Establish negotiations, classification and vendor qualifications. Maintain an inventory level for spare parts and MRO’s related to Manufacturing Division and Repair Shop for the Company Truck Fleet. Prepare semester physical inventory counts, organizing, administrating and auditing all final inventory reports for closing fiscal year to external auditors. Responsible for maintenance of computer program (MAS90) such as monthly revisions of ROP, MOQ, and ROQ for all inventory analysis. In charge of the company’s traffic administration, including freight carrier’s options, negotiation of freight rates & acquiring Freight Contracts (reducing its cost). Process all claims for damaged goods and worked directly with the control of all shipments such as receipts, transfers and dispatches.
