Daily Duties at Vulcan Materials:

I supervised the daily operation of a granite rock quarry. My duties included but are not limited to: safety, quality control, production, maintenance, parts inventory management, rail logistics, supervision of 26 to 43 employees, enforce company policies and disciplinary actions, performance reviews, preventative maintenance computer program, environmental compliance, Dept of Labor - MSHA compliance, preventative maintenance, equipment operation, and Microsoft Office programs. Safety is my first responsibility for the entire workforce. After that I managed the day to day operations of a granite aggregates quarry. I was responsible for maintaining MSHA safety regulations and documentation, and environmental compliance and documentation with the EPA and Alabama Department of Environmental Management, and FRA regulations. My daily responsibilities were to safely reach production goals and schedule maintenance to be done on night shift. I was responsible for all rail activities: employees, safety, locomotive operation, switching operations, daily rail logistics with CSX, track maintenance, state highway signal crossing maintenance, switch maintenance, environmental compliance, and up to date records.
