Daily Duties at Tcw:
Conducted investment manager research and due diligence on universe of managers to best position TCW investment strategies relative to competitors to gain commitments during manager searches. Evaluated manager track records, investment strategies and continuity of management teams, performance analytics, attribution analysis and interviews with investment managers and industry contacts. Marketed investment portfolios to consultants, institutional and high net worth clients in multiple asset classes and styles, including: equities, fixed income, international and alternatives (hedge funds, private equity, mezzanine, etc.) Reputable relationships in consulting community and experience working with various institutional clients (Corporate Pension, Public Funds, Endowments, Foundations and Taft-Hartley). Reported on performance and statistical results of investment strategies, Buy/Sell decisions and investment theses. Distributed portfolios through 16 channels in 17 states, including wire houses, investment banks, regional brokers, national and regional banks and independent registered investment advisors. Significant Board Room Presentation experience through Institutional Finals Presentations, Road Shows and Client Reviews. Completed Requests for Investment Proposals and assisted clients with development and on-going compliance of Investment Policy Statements and negotiation of investment management contracts and fee pricing.
