Daily Duties at Ducks Unlimited:
Directed regional engineering projects including site surveys, engineering design, AutoCAD drafting, erosion control, soil science, hydraulics, wetland habitat, and agricultural engineering designs, bidding, contracting, and construction management. Collaborated, planned, and developed scopes of work, cost estimates, grant proposals, staff workloads, schedules, and budgets. Led field surveys collecting data, and created topographic maps. Managed levee, earthwork, conveyance canal, pump station, spillway, and sedimentation basin projects. Produced engineered designs, construction plans, technical specifications, unit price tables, bid and contract documents, and specified materials. Performed construction staking, inspection, and management. Monitored consultants and contractors for compliance with project plans, specifications, and contracts. Maintained project budgets, and served as contracting officer.
