Daily Duties at Apple:

As a Creative, my main role at the Apple Store is that of instructor, whether guiding small groups to learn or helping individuals’ complete projects. I use presentation skills to act as a facilitator, helping users get set up, get trained, and get going. But I'm also an excellent listener, taking the time to understand what each user hopes to achieve or learn. By adjusting my teaching style to each user's individual skill level, I maximize his or her understanding and `time. I recognize that purchasing a new product can sometimes help customers attain their goals. I spend much of my time leading scheduled training sessions, but I'm still comfortable interacting with store customers between those sessions. I am proud to enrich the lives of others - whether customers or team members - through teaching, in the way only a Creative can.

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
