• Continuously improved, monitored, and evaluated the purchasing activities of the company for developing efficient and effective sourcing strategies. • Developed more efficient use of company logistics resources to transfer slow moving and dead product to more active regions in the company footprint. • Strengthened company cash flow by analyzing facility bulk tank capacity and using historical data to stabilize procurement needs on a weekly basis. • Assessed company’s spending and supply market trends. • Performed total cost analyses and identified suitable suppliers. • Negotiated products, service levels, prices, geographical coverage, payment terms, etc. with suppliers. • Implemented new supply structure and supported continuous cycle by tracking results. • Performed data mining operations for establishing appropriate raw material sourcing initiatives via determining consistent patterns and/or systematic relations between variables. • Updated order controls daily with Microsoft Excel H-Lookups, V-Lookups, and Pivot Tables. • Developed models and collected data for supplier review. • Monitored supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and trends based on quality, cost, service, risk, innovation, and other parameters. • Evaluated supplier performance and trends against SLA’s and other metrics defined in contracts. • Monitored vendor pricing to validate sourcing options including acquired quotes from main suppliers and logistics partners. • Approved supply chain sources by developing Excel tables for seasonal data analysis and comparison. • Used market trend data to project order amounts of highest selling bulk products in railcar quantities and purchased via ExxonMobil’s SAP R/3 Software. • Applied SAP for analyzing supplier quotations for raw materials and finished products • Mitigated supplier risk strategies to achieve business objectives by monitoring suppliers for stability, cultivated long-term supplier relationships, and establishing control across the extended enterprise. • Provided analytical support for ad-hoc sourcing projects for raw materials and finished products. • Strategically established efficient links in supply chain for customers to insure best pricing and service. • Conducted analyses to address inventory levels frequently leading to consistent sales and profitability while limiting dead stock within the Mid-Atlantic region. • Implemented and executed strategies to improve fill rate performance, reduce inventory levels, and increase turn percentage. • Conducted projection of lube bulk usage and procured fill on a weekly basis avoiding customer run-outs while continually turning product at a high rate. • Used inventory management principles to establish and coordinate inventory counts and reconciliations. • Estimated dead non-moving stock by working with dispatch, facilities, and 3rd party freight carriers to transfer product weekly to areas of need and movement. • Worked with facility manager, strategic pricing managers, regional operations/sales managers, and warehouse personnel to evaluate, plan, and monitor inventory levels to meet forecasting and corporate financial objectives. • Provided ad-hoc reporting and analytic support to management as needed. • Initiated year-end inventory counts and delegated items to facilities with a schedule for completion. Reconciled these counts with research of internal and external transactions and submitted final gain and loss data to Purchasing Director. • Forecasted weekly usage of products via market, seasonal, and annual data provided by company software to accurate procure materials for upcoming customer orders. • Quoted sales department special order product price including handling. Freight, and lead time. • Exceeded company standards by reducing all Mid-Atlantic facility inventory value under $1 Million and maintaining those levels monthly.
