Daily Duties at Los Angeles County Sanitation District (Field Engineering):
Field engineering and quality control during two multidisciplinary plant expansion projects at $114 MM each. Conducted periodic inspections of field operations and work records, worked with supervisory personnel and staff to identify and implement improvements in work methods and services. Developed and administered program budgets and forecasts for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies. Investigated Time and Material claims and expenditures, recommended adjustments when appropriate. Coordinated public works activities with those of other divisions and outside agencies and organizations. Provided staff assistance to the Resident Engineer. Prepared and presented staff reports and other necessary correspondence. Contract Administration involving mitigation of conflicts between multiple contractors during implementation/design refinement stage for large environmental infrastructure projects. Owner’s representative via Resident Engineer delegation to assure quality and project success.
