Daily Duties at Prometrika, Llc:

Lead Information Technology officer in a privately-owned (President/CEO founder) Contract Research Organization that provided outsourcing support to biopharmaceutical companies engaged in new product development under the tenets of a wide range of federal regulations. As a component of these regulations, all IT solutions needed to be fully validated to confirm functionality and were subject to added security and change control requirements. Written policies were mandated and routinely audited by clients. Employee base was comprised of an internal team at Cambridge headquarters and a large group of remote consultants. As the first internal IT hire, spearheaded the update of technology, rebuilding the infrastructure from the ground up and standardizing all desktops and server hardware. Also responsible for all space planning, office expansion during growth, and facilities management. Position reported to the President and Chief Executive Officer.  Responsible for overall management of the IT infrastructure which included systems, platforms, and capacity related services, and implemented and managed operating systems, servers, storage and directory server systems  Managed upgrades of business-critical database (Oracle Clintrial) and statistical analysis (SAS) software applications including required validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)  Ensured the maintenance and security of network systems and services to prevent occurrences that could compromise the infrastructure environment; established change control processes for all server updates and upgrades  Developed and enforced company IT policies and procedures and ensured compliance with computer system validation requirements per FDA regulations and company master validation plan  Overhauled secure VPN firewall and remote access for entire company enabling more mobile workforce; introduced internet failover capabilities that leveraged internal and external processes  Established and maintained standards for all IT equipment and oversight of all IT related purchasing, budget administration, asset management and disposition  Implemented standardized Disaster Recovery Plan and process with SunGard Availability Services, and local backup strategies for all server technologies including tape and Network Attached Storage
