Daily Duties at Optum:
• Process Payroll weekly for over 1300 employees • Experience in Kronos time and attendance system • Ensure payroll is done timely and accurately • Enter or change employees’ files with current tax, banking, and deductions into payroll system • Send daily missed punch reports to Operation Managers and Supervisors • Assist Supervisors and Managers in time record approvals and adjustments • Ensure employees direct deposits are entered into system weekly • Update Federal and State allowances for employees weekly • Communicate with employees and answer questions as they arise • Ensure accuracy of employee benefits data, including service from third party vendors. • Develop and prepare communications to employees about benefit programs, procedures, claims and any other government mandated disclosures • Assist with Open Enrollment of all benefits annually, which includes processing all changes into payroll system • Conduct New Hire Orientation for all new hires • Administer employee benefits programs • Keep track of vacation and PTO hours through JIRA • Process unemployment claims daily through Equifax • Witness to State unemployment hearings with adjudicator and first hand witness • Process hiring and termination related paperwork • Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases • Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records. • Compute wages and deductions, and enter data into computers • Update name changes and address changes • Complete employment verifications • Accurately monitored calls for the CVS Caremark Account • Facilitated weekly calibrations and weekly/monthly reporting using excel and PowerPoint • Monitor daily call performance of floor agents in call center environment • Support, consult and advise the call center management team and associates to meet service level objectives • Analyze trends and provide input on improving call center quality in regards to performance • Utilize and produce reports using Microsoft Office and Excel Team Leader 09/2012-12/2012 • Motivated, coached and developed skills in employees • In search of process improvement, helped drive operational efficiencies through product training and process training • Responsible for leading training programs aimed at developing talented new recruits and existing employees into excellent representatives who can consistently meet and exceed goals • Provided daily leadership to increase productivity • Account Manager for various prescription benefit plans • Received inbound calls from members regarding mail order prescriptions • Educated members on prescription plans/assisted members with claims and plan designs • Provided objective information pertaining to coverage and annual notice of change • Ensure proactive customer service with the highest degree of courtesy and telephone etiquette • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
