Daily Duties at Brown Strauss Steel:
Responsible for operation procedures at six warehouse facilities located throughout the western US including personnel and equipment, risk management, facility layout, inventory control and acquisitions. Administration responsibility over 80 FTE’s with 7 direct reports. Negotiated rates with all major railroads and OTR transportation providers. Composed and maintained corporate safety and training programs. Accountable for the day to day plant operations at the Aurora, CO facility. Responsible for the purchasing of all structural tubing products. Worked jointly with sales to ensure market stability, maintained selling price according to market conditions while strengthening vendor relations
