Daily Duties at Viking Office Products:
• Designed practical financial and warehouse applications using JDA Software, RPG III, RPG/400, and ILE RPG. • Oversaw and directed migration from System 36 to AS/400. This transition was accomplished smoothly with minimal down time. • Developed “Experian Credit Scoring” model, automating many manual procedures. This saved each user approximately 2 hours per day. • Utilized SQL Tools to transfer data between physical files and create reports. • Spearheaded major project implementing new financial system for Japanese division. • Developed and rolled out new programs for order entry, order processing, scheduling and invoicing. • Created and distributed all daily, weekly and monthly financial reports. • Completely re-engineered IT services within the financial departments, resulting in substantially improved efficiency and productivity. • Performed extensive modifications in anticipation of Y2K.
