Daily Duties at South Central Power:

Managed a group of technical professionals who together were responsible for service delivery, project delivery, security, disaster recovery capabilities, hosting, and end user experience. Maintain 65 servers in VMware 5.0 environment. Maintain 117 tablets used for outage management and meter reading. Maintain IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Worked with VMWare, HP SAN, HP Server Hardware, Cisco Avamar Backup, Linux, Apache, Microsoft Exchange, Networking (LAN, WAN, Ubiquity, Cisco/HP Switching, & WIFI), Active Directory, Windows Server Operating Systems, Cisco Phone Systems and SQL Server. Continually updating performance and development plan for each member of IT staff. Mentoring and coaching IT team members to achieve desired performance. Served as primary vendor contact for all network and service related hardware, software, data connectivity and telecommunications; negotiating for improved service and favorable terms. Provided recommendations to the board members, on technology for solving complex and varied problems to enhance the service and support of the computing platforms. Developed and implemented network and server support and trouble resolution procedures.
