Independently covered Transfusion Medicine during the off-hours between 11p-7a Monitored and performed quality assurance and control of instruments, equipment, and products utilized in the department. Ensured that surgery patients had necessary products available for the scheduled operations. Prepared and provided products for liver transplant procedures as well as emergency heart complications or bleeding problems. Provided rapid results for microbiology tests such as rapid flu, rapid strep, and rapid HIV status.
