• Oversaw a department that has no OSHA recordable incidents and no lost time • Directed site environmental compliance, including air and water permitting, yielding $0 in fines • Directed site construction, engineering, utilities, baghouses, medium voltage systems, and water systems operations with almost no lost production time • Directed a $1.5 million acid piping project finishing on time and approximately $150 thousand under budget • Spearheaded redesign of the connection bay dropping the planned cost from $16 million to $10 million • Managed an annual $61 million operational expense budget and a $3 million capital expense budget • Completed a steam system redesign only using $150,000 of $600,000 capital expense budget • Established a department where more than 50 teammates operated and maintained over $550 million in assets • Created a department with a promotion to turnover ratio of about 2:1 through rigorous hiring practices and personnel development • Managed site engineering including oversight of the final construction phase of the Melt Shop utilizing approximately 400 contractors • Screened, interviewed, and hired over 45 permanent personnel in support of building two departments
