• Provided legal counsel for TV shows, films and intellectual property rights and supported M&A activities for an animation studio that produces internationally-recognized children’s programs; managed 3-person team. • Prepared and executed a high volume of licensing agreements for image usage and registered trademarks on consumer products such as back to school items, children apparel, etc. • Led complex negotiations and secured prime-time slot for children’s programming on leading Italian TV network, RAI, and renegotiated contracts each season. • Negotiated master agreement and supporting components, rights and clearances for use of music and images and royalty contracts and provided counsel on tax implications on a film production and distribution deal with Rainbow CGI and Medusa Distribution. • Managed information access during M&A due diligence for the acquisition by Viacom of 30% of the company: worked with finance, operations and human resources to ensure all required documentation was provided, and approved access to data by internal and external parties
