Daily Duties at Bank Of America :
Portfolio Mortgage Underwriter - Evaluated the credit package to ensure an investment quality loan product is delivered. Reviewed consumer’s personal information, financial data, ratios, appraisals, title, insurance and closing documentation to ensure loan decision is in compliance with policies, laws and regulations. Determined risk and consumer’s ability to repay obligation, and evaluated feasibility to granting the loan. Mortgage Underwriter - Evaluated residential mortgage loans in accordance with internal and Conventional/FHA/HUD/VA guidelines, ensured compliance with company and investors standards. Reviewed complex personal and business financial documentation, analyzed credit trends and ensured company was not exposed to unacceptable levels of risk. Delivered accurate decisions on all conventional and governments loans transactions. Mentored loans processors and sale associates and acted as secondary review and escalation point of contact.
