Daily Duties at Radian Asset Assurance Inc.:

My responsibilities generally fell within in three areas: primarily general corporate matters, but also business origination and workouts and risk management. Responsible for general corporate matters, including review of confidentiality (NDA), consulting, employment (HR), IT and software development contracts, SEC and insurance regulatory disclosure, mergers, acquisitions, consolidations, divestiture, dissolutions, office leases and subleases and other key company agreements. Developed protocols, organized and chaired Board of Directors and Committee meetings, including preparation of meeting materials. Implemented corporate reorganizations preserving capital and streamlining corporate organization. Supervised regulatory filings. Certified statutory financial statements. Managed loss mitigation, commutation and litigation strategies. Successfully negotiated servicing transfers, policy terminations, novations and commutations of direct and reinsurance exposures. Eliminated and reduced risk avoiding or materially reducing claims below value of expected losses, preserving capital. Managed legal group serving the Structured Products Business Unit, which provided financial guaranty, credit and surety insurance and reinsurance for asset-backed securities and credit default swaps providing synthetic credit protection for corporate CDOs, ABS CDOs of trust preferred, CMBS, RMBS and numerous other conventional and esoteric asset classes. Developed standard documentation, closing procedures and document organization for structured finance transactions (used in over 250 transactions).
