TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATOR, Lockheed Martin - Stafford, Virginia Dec 2012 – Sept 2013 • Provide technical illustrations and photographs to be incorporated into technical manuals in support of Marine Corps System Command, Program Manager (PMM-113), Product Manager, Infantry Weapons (PdM, IW). • Collaborate with team members on project deliverables and providing input on a regular basis to ensure that deadlines are met. • Schedule photo sessions and provide photographs of weapon systems assembly and disassembly in chronological order for the DoD. • Edit photographs and line art for use in technical publications and presentations. • Develop information from text and create illustrations that communicate with the information concisely and accurately. • Create technical illustrations for schematic perspective, and oblique-angle views to depict function, relationship, and assembly sequence of parts and assemblies. • Upload, organize, and maintain images and graphics onto a library database. TECHNICAL WRITER, Lockheed Martin - Stafford, Virginia Sept 2011 – Dec 2012 • Technical Writer supporting the documentation requirements of MARCORSYSCOM PMM-113, PdM Infantry Weapons for Crew Served, Precision, and Individual weapons. • Assisted the lead editor in editing, and delivering 3 weapon systems manuals. • Successfully collaborate with team members, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and equipment specialists to create, edit, and maintain operator and maintainer manuals. • Observe production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail. • Working knowledge in military standards, orders and style guides relating to technical publications and logistics (MIL - HDBK - 1222D, MIL - STD - 40051 - 2A). • Review operator and maintainer manuals for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and format errors. • Validate and research National Stock Numbers (NSNs) index and part number index in the repair parts list and special tools list. • Write clear and concise instructions and develop graphs and figures to be incorporated into technical manuals. • Arrange for typing, duplication, and distribution of material.
