Daily Duties at Oldcastle:

Managed all aspects of a concrete block and paver manufacturing facility servicing big box stores as well as commercial and residential construction. Oversaw 4 production plants at the facility. Block plant for architectural masonry, paver and patio plant, tumbler plant for antiquing stone, and a high end polishing plant. Responsible for all areas at the site: Production, Safety, Quality Control, Maintenance, Distribution, Procurement, Customer Service, and HR. The hiring and firing manager for all personnel in the facility. • P&L responsibility for the site with an annual sales budget of $20 million. • Exceeded budgeted PBIT by controlling costs and financial oversite. • Put an employee led safety program in place that rewarded participatory goals and behavioral accountability. • Completed multiple capital projects to upgrade facilities throughout the site that exceeded $2 million. • Introduced TPM to the site with a 52 week PM program and implementation of a CMMS system and metrics.
