Daily Duties at Harvard University:
Perform Pre-Audit reviews of reimbursements, service and other payments made to employee and non – incorporated vendors processed via the University’s Procurement systems to determine the proper tax reporting and / or tax withholding using IRS guidelines and MA DOR ruling and regulations Assisting Non- Immigrant aliens in determining tax residency and analyzing the proper tax reporting and / or tax withholding requirements associated with payments from Harvard University Perform Post audit review on payments made to non-incorporated vendors to determine the proper tax reporting on income according to IRS guidelines Serve as liaison for questions regarding the proper reporting and or / withholding tax on income paid to staff, faculty, students and independent contractors Maintain tax status data (in PeopleSoft and Oracle A/P) as it pertains to individuals who are non-resident alien for tax purposes in the United States Assist in yearend processing of IRS form 1099 and 1042-S Act as back up for other office functions as needed and perform related duties as required
