Daily Duties at Community Health Systems, Inc.:

• Plans, supports, and promotes the development and implementation of cardiovascular programs and services throughout the corporation consistent with the mission of Community Health Systems. • Provides assistance for the strategic planning, business development, growth, and quality improvement plans for cardiac and vascular programs. • Coordinates and supports administration and management in the integration of financial, clinical and quality issues for the cardiovascular service line to achieve high quality service in an efficient and economic manner. • Develops collaborative relationships with medical directors, medical groups, hospital administration and department directors to ensure a continuum focus. • Provides consultation in clinical specialty to related healthcare personnel and other entities regarding program development and departmental operations. Provides leadership in forecasting future trends for cardiovascular service lines. • Provides direct operational support. • Clinical care practices associated with the inpatient care of the cardiovascular surgical patients within 135 hospital system: - Provide onsite assessments and evaluation of the clinical enterprise and care delivery models. - Appraise corporate leaders, hospital leadership, and physicians of opportunities to enhance patient care. - Provide direction to hospital leadership and physicians on implementing published best-practices and guidelines. - Develop and provide education on identified areas of opportunities to physicians, leadership, and staff. • Implementation strategies in the patient care setting to reduce Healthcare Acquired Conditions (HACs) and improve the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers & Systems (HCAHPS). • Provide insight and direction to hospital leadership, managers, and directors in achieving operational targets. • Acting as the point of contact to convey and communicate available corporate resources. • Provide onsite assessments and evaluation of risk exposure practices associated with outside accrediting body standards.
