Daily Duties at Wal Mart:
• Drive sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting, sales and assessing trends and community needs. • Model, enforce and provide guidance to hourly Associates on proper Customer service approaches and techniques to ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within Company guidelines and procedures. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures by holding hourly associates accountable; analyzing and interpreting reports; maintain quality assurance standards; providing direction and guidance on executing Company programs and strategic initiatives. • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly Associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, evaluating performance, providing recognition, and ensuring diversity awareness. • Manage execution and results. Hold associates accountable for completing work within expectations and time requirements. Plan and Manage own and others time, based on business priorities, and follow-up to ensure work is completed in a timely and accurate manner. • Identify and obtain the resources needed to complete projects. Encourage associates to strive for excellence, efficiency and quality in work practices. • Planned, directed and successfully executed Black Friday Events • Participated in the remodeling of a Wal-Mart Supercenter from start to finish in the capacity of sales floor manager.
