Daily Duties at Vendor Safe Technologies:

As a senior and junior Infrastructure engineer I am in charge of LANScribe move from iSCSI to self-sustained SSD server system to include building new server environment on ESXi-5.5 host with VMWare vSphere 5. I configured all 2012 R2 servers to include Active Directory and Vigilix LANScribe servers in order to run the environment. We are in the middle of re-working our entire Infrastructure which I am heading up the project on. To include, but not limited to, Dell switches with 20GB stacking capabilities, Dell Blade server/chassis, SC4020 and SC200 compellent devices for tiered storage of our VMs. Support ESXi-4/5 environment to include varying version of VMWare vSphere. Build Server 2003, 2008 R2, server 2012 R2 VMs and support the current servers also built as VMs. Support Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange server 2010 and 2007, Print servers, HP and TrendNet switches, VLANs, Juniper and Fortinet firewalls to include URL filtering and advanced policy. Also configure and support policy based, source-based, and destination based routing on Juniper firewalls. I configure VPNs on both Fortinet and Juniper firewalls along with OSPF configuration across the VPNs and on the LAN side of the firewalls. Active Directory design and administration. Performed cleanup for Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO). Configured Distributed File System (DFS) – File Server – for group/shared folders access and permissions on the network. Provide local support for users on two locations (Windows 7 Pro, Windows 8). VPN client configuration and support. Remote support using Remote Desktop Connection and LogMeIn. As a support and deployment engineer I supported multiple firewalls (approximately 8,000) to include, but no limited to VPN configuration and support, URL requests, policy configuration, and many other customer related requests.
