Daily Duties at Kic Development, Llc:

Controlled and managed the accounting and finance department including a team of 8 direct employees. Responsible for management of all key accounting functions including GL, accounts payable, accounts receivable, commissions and payroll. Analyzed period-close data as part of the period pre-close procedure during monthly, quarterly and year end. Addressed complex accounting problems, issues and violations. Worked with management and operating staff to resolve discrepancies and prevent future reoccurrence. Managed full cycle government contracts with Project Manager – Primary customers included - Department of State; National Institutes of Health; Department of Housing and Urban Development and Army Corp. of Engineers. Insured all records were kept in compliance with GAAP, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Cost Accounting Standards and other appropriate regulations. Reviewed and ensured all transactions were coded accurately in accordance with accrual accounting. Conducted detailed analysis of subcontractors’ monthly billings. Updated monthly forecasting and budget vs. actual variance analysis. Produced timely and accurate A/P, A/R, billings, financial and management records. Worked collaboratively with all departments to maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers. Implemented new contracts in accounting system to ensure proper revenue recognition and billing. Worked closely with senior management to execute strategic financial planning. Controlled all inter-company transactions. Accountable for preparation and participation of outside annual audit. Responsible for labor distribution and payroll. Handled project close out – obtaining Release of Liens from sub-contractors before final payment.
