Daily Duties at Hmt Holdings, Inc.:
Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and analyzing risks inherent to the operations of the various maritime companies owned by HMT Holdings and for managing all claims, including assignment of attorneys. Formulate, implement, administer, and evaluate risk management strategies to efficiently and cost-effectively manage those risks. Responsible for educating, advising, and counseling senior management and employees to reduce or transfer risks. Remained informed of the dynamic changes that occur within the maritime community and made the best risk mitigation method decisions based on the changes. Investigated incidents and accidents. Served as company on-scene coordinator and qualified individual for major incidents. Ensured compliance with Coast Guard, OSHA, MSHA and other statutory regulations. Managed company benefits. Previously held the positions of Human Resources Director and Director of Safety and Training and continued to provide advice and leadership to those departments as well as conducted periodic training on many topics. Assisted in developing employee training, new hire orientation, and content of company meetings.
