Daily Duties at Illumen (A Nexustek Company):

• Analyze complex business needs of clients and develop Statements of Work (SOWs) to outline projects to address those needs • Implement highest-level technical projects at Illumen • Handle Tier 3/4 level escalations from Illumen Managed Service Department • Manage and maintain Illumen’s Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM) platform which requires extensive knowledge in SNMP implementations across multiple platforms to insure Illumen is monitoring the key elements of clients’ network infrastructure • Mentor and train lower tiered Engineers to provide them with upward mobility • Developed a hosted SSL VPN platform from the ground up for Illumen clients’ secure access to resources. Utilizes the Juniper Secure Access platform (now Multiple Access Gateway (MAG)) • Managed team comprised of 5 tier 3/4 engineers responsible for professional services producing an average of $50K per month • Grew the Professional Services department by 20% over a 2 year period by implementing controls over the pre-sales, execution, billing and invoicing procedures • Developed analytics to track financials associated with Professional Services department to allow granular reporting of billable time, engineer utilization and labor diversification. Led to an increase in effective (billable) utilization across the team and provided transparency to a process that was previously unknown. • Conducted interviews and hired Professional Services Tier 3 and 4 Engineers
