Daily Duties at Gabler Inc.:

The responsibilities of the General Manager was to insure all departments were properly trained to meet and exceed customers expectations as well as meet and understand company policies to insure goals and standards were maintained. Daily duties were to review KPI reports, analyze and direct managers, supervisors, and lead associates to achieve set performance goals by reviewing inbound / outbound load schedule, work schedules, special projects, and make appropriate improvements to each departments processes. Review each facility for maintenance standards, safety standards, and implement warehouse layout to improve work flow and optimal use of space. Effectively communicate with the ownership group and customers on strategic changes and develop plans of action to implement changes to the business. Insure daily cycle counts were completed and resolve all variances to customers satisfaction and achieved a 99.99% accuracy. Investigate cycle count variances root cause and implement corrective procedures through coaching and training associates in new and existing procedures. Review all OS&D issues and insure 100% resolution to the customer and or supplier. Responsible to recommend and implement packaging standards which would result in areas of improvement including load optimization, warehouse space savings, product protection, and safety. Approve all expenses related to the warehouse operations that included payroll, software changes, supplies, maintenance, hardware, and any other sundries, this was a budget of over $1.4 million. Conduct timely merit reviews for all staff and was responsible for hiring and termination of associates. Work directly with the Business Development Director on new business, specifically designing a pricing strategy based on customers requests / needs including kitting programs, storage costs, packaging services, special projects, cross docking, and pick 'n' pack projects. Respond to all customer inquiries 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
