• Served as the primary representative for Wholesale Senior Management on IT initiatives, ensuring projects remained within scope and on budget • Managed the B2B web services which involved working closely with vendors, agents and IT team to deliver an efficient and effective means to compare several carriers for a particular risk resulting in reduced internal expenses • A key player in the launch of the Markel University program which included taking charge of securing all technology equipment, identifying all software needed and organizing training for the software usage • Provided trainees with introductions to ongoing IT projects including AMS (Client Management Application), OnBase, Platform X, Qlikview (Management Reporting Tool) and Outlook • Prepared a Cost Benefit Analysis for all major projects and presented to senior management for approval • Led Wholesale Prioritization team to review all requests that were not part of approved major projects, worked closely with business owners to ensure request added value and communicated with stakeholder of approved changes and the expected timeframe for delivery • Collaborated with the Business Process Team, Product Regulatory Services, AMS team, OnBase team, Web team and all other division representatives on current projects to ensure coordination, awareness and to avoid duplicate efforts • Assisted with AMS prioritization of enhancements which included bi –weekly meetings with AMS IT team and providing regular updates to Marketing • Continued to serve as business champion for the customer facing rate/quote/bind system portal resulting in a 38% increase in the number of portal submissions and a 19% increase in the number of total portal visits
