• Contributed to team success by drafting & providing detailed assembly drawings using 3D CAD software • Performed static & dynamic structural stress analysis using Catia V5 Generative Structural Analysis tool • Collaborated with other drafters/engineers to ensure proper GD&T practice • Performed load analysis using pressure coefficients at varying speeds to determine structural loads on aircraft wing • Researched corrosion prevention, maintenance procedures & simplified the fabrication process while obeying FAR's • Researched FAA regulations to estimate external applied loads & loading spectrum • Analyzed & interpreted FAA regulations to ensure design compliance • Initialized selection of part sizes, materials, & cost analysis based on current market trends • Initialized the use of analytical/technical skills & engineering analysis to perform structure analysis coinciding with FEA • Modeled metallic automotive components using Catia V5 & exported model into NEi Nastran • Successfully performed structural stress analysis & determined fracture point using FEA models • Successfully performed analytical calculations using General Flexure Formula, Virtual Load & Displacement techniques • Successfully performed a tension test to compare actual experimental results to classical hand calculations & FEA results • Created technical or engineering drawings & assemblies with given technical documents of parts with GD&T • Created 2-D border sheets with necessary section views, assembled isometric views, exploded views & BOM • Revised drawings as parts changed & collaborated with machinist to verify manufacturing feasibility • Prepared technical instructions & layouts to verify clearances between mating & adjacent parts
