Daily Duties at Ina Bearing Co. (Schaeffler Group):
• Responsible for managing the launch of new products, including the manufacture of initial production samples. • Improve and optimize processes in transfer press forming, induction heat treating, centerless grinding, honing, and assembly, using statistical sampling and lean manufacturing concepts where applicable.. • Responsible for designing tooling and fixtures for wire shearing, centerless grinding, face grinding, gauging, and assembly. • Trained in SPC and DOE. • Manage ongoing project to rebuild/recondition all high speed assembly lines; interfacing with electrical, machine repair, and automation departments. • Utilize Hewlett-Packard ME-10 2-D software for design and drafting.
