Daily Duties at Nj Transit:

Currently, I am the Director overseeing Operations Technologies and Customer Facing Technologies for NJ Transit Office of Technology Services, the largest state-wide transit agency in the country. I direct managers and consultants in the maintenance and design of systems communications technology for passenger stations and bus and rail operations and planning including web based products, Smartphone applications, public address, signage, CCTV, network, access control and power systems. I am responsible for the 24/7 maintenance of over 1000 IP based devices including servers, workstations and field equipment throughout the state. In addition, I lead team of software developers in custom software Agile design in Java, .asp, .net, and mobile iOS with Oracle databases. I define schedule, scope and budget for dozens of technology related deployments throughout transit and works with Operations User groups to define system requirements and Engineering capital projects to deploy these systems. I have directed capital projects totaling more than $50 million and have an annual maintenance operating budget of $2.3M including in-house and consultant staff.
