Daily Duties at Nuveen Investments:

Responsible for creating and managing Nuveen’s purchasing and vendor management organization, which includes creating effective sourcing strategies, vendor management, relationship management and complex contract negotiations and operations. Tracked and reported on Nuveen’s information technology budget. Implemented new processes and reporting to control IT spending. Created IT work-intake and prioritization processes and managed executive communications. • Created and managed Nuveen’s Vendor Management Office (VMO). • Accountable for the financial management of Nuveen’s IT budget and program initiatives. Annual spend of approx. $5M. • Delivered and implemented firm-wide sourcing initiatives and strategies for hardware, software, professional services, office supplies and printing. • Created leverage opportunities and cost savings while balancing overall value for goods and services. • Negotiated and remediated complex hardware, software and professional services contracts. • Managed and monitored vendor service delivery and performance (SLA’s, scorecards, metrics, reporting) while ensuring budget and P&L adherence. • Created sourcing processes and polices for the corporation. • Aligned procurement strategies with key business stakeholders though executive reporting and communications.
